What's the REAL Scoop on Secret Shoppers?

I have heard for years about "Secret Shoppers" and how you can make money by shopping, eating, banking, etc. To be honest, I was skeptical... I thought there really had to be a catch. So, recently I decided to put it to the test and see what I could learn.

Within a couple of days of signing up, I received an email to go eat dinner as a "Secret Shopper" at a steakhouse we often eat at anyway. So, I rounded up my husband and my son and on a Saturday afternoon, we went and ate dinner. My "job" was to make certain observations while I was there. How friendly were they? How well did they know the menu? How quick did they serve us? Just general stuff like that.

We ate our dinner while I made mental notes and when we got home I logged onto my computer, filled out a form, entered my receipt number and I was done! Easy enough! Now, I wondered...Will I really get reimbursed? How quickly will the check arrive? Well, we ate out on July 14th and I received the check on July 26th.... 12 days - not shabby! We were reimbursed $30 for dinner and $10 for filling out the survey. Not alot of money, but we had a nice dinner,
out and it didn't cost us anything!

I'm already looking at other assignments that pay much more. I'm going to get $100 worth of veterinary care for free just by checking out a local vet. Which is cool, because my dog is due for his shots anyway! Plus, they'll pay me $25 extra just to go.

I'm actually looking forward to more assignments. And of course, you only take the assignments you want to!
